August 2009 - Trip to Holland

The month barely started and mommy decided to take me to Holland to meet her friends and their babies. It was really nice to go there and I had a great time!

I had already met auntie Renata Pio here in February. She came to Singapore for a week and stayed with us. This time we stayed a few days with her in Rotterdam. She now has a little princess called Livia. She's beautiful! But I wasn't very pleased when mommy was playing with her instead of me.

Then we spent some time at auntie Sabrina and uncle Nick's house in Utrecht. That was fun too! Tia Sabrina came to Singapore when I was still at mommy's belly so it was her first time meeting me! We played a lot together. She threw a baby shower for mommy (not sure why!) but all I did was play with uncle Nick and João Paulo. He is the son of auntie Renatinha. He's just a bit older than me but we had a blast together!!!
We also visited Scheveningen beach in two occasions. One with auntie Sabrina and one with auntie Sigrid and her parents. They came all the way from Germany to see me (and mommy). Auntie Sigrid also came to Singapore to meet me last year when I was only 3 months old. It was really hot in Holland the day they came from Germany so we went to Scheveningen and I went into the water at the beach for the first time in my life. That was a lot of fun!!!

My mom's brother, uncle Pedro, also came to Holland so we met him for a day in Amsterdam. It was good to see him after such a long time. I guess we'll only see him next year when we go to Brazil. We had a lot of fun playing in the park in front of the Rijksmuseum and walking around town.

We also met auntie Silvana and Taís, her little 5 month-old princess. She's very beautiful!

On the day we left we met auntie Nathalie, uncle Bram and Xander. They used to live in Singapore but went back to Holland. It was great to see them and Xander and I played quite a lot. Too bad it was so quick as we had to leave to come back home.

I had a wonderful time in Holland and hope to come back again soon! If you want to check out the pictures on our Picasa,

July 2009 - Back to Singapore

Hello again!

Sorry for not posting anything here earlier but my mom's computer broke and she was without it for a while. I know, I know....always an excuse but you must imagine that life with a toddler is not that easy either!

July was a fun month. I played a lot with my friends from the building where we live. We meet twice a day at the playground. It's a lot of fun! I have to ask my mom to take some pictures of us so she can put it here. I also went to a few playdates and playgroups and had a lot of fun as well.

Mommy and Daddy celebrated their 4th Wedding anniversary!

And Daddy turned 40 on July 18th!

There are also some sad news....unfortunately my dinda Mercy and dindo Gary (godparents) went back to the US and I don't know when I'll see them again. Hopefully soon so we can all have fun in Disneyworld (they moved to Florida)!

June 2009 - Trip to the US

Hello everyone!

Sorry for not writing in a while but me, my mom and my dad went to the US for the month of June and only arrived back here in July.

The trip was a lot of fun! I met tons of new people and also saw again a lot of great friends and my wonderful family. We went to San Francisco (CA), Scottsdale, Prescott and Chandler (AZ), Chicago, Moline/Rock Island and Oakbrook (IL).

Here is the link for the pictures!
Hope you enjoy them!

May 2009 - I'm 1 year-old!

Time went by fast....I just turned 1!

And since I'm a big boy now, we decided to do this blog a little bit different. We'll just write what happened this month and put the videos (if we have any!), but the pictures are going to be put on Picasa. Mommy will put the link here, so you can still keep up with what's going on with me!

I had a wonderful first birthday party! So many of my friends showed up and it was a lot of fun. Check out the pictures at

Unfortunately after the party I was diagnosed with "hand, foot and mouth" (it's not the mad cow disease), which is a viral infection that causes fever and blisters on the hand, foot and mouth. I was sick for quite a while but now I feel 100%.

I took my first steps last month but now I'm walking around everywhere. Mommy, daddy and Rowena (my nanny) have a real hard time keeping up with me. I also love to grab all that I'm not supposed to and put it in my mouth! I also learned how to open the kitchen door (sliding) and try to make a mess there too.

Asher's first steps - April 2009

I'm 11 months now!
I've been cruising around, crawling everywhere and even took my first steps!
These were taken an afternoon around the house with mommy!

What are you looking at?
I'm busy!

I had my first EASTER! We went out to brunch with my friend Lachlan and his parents Tim and Karina. We had loads of fun!

Me and daddy watching TV...
I'm learning how to text....I love using my daddy's Blackberry

This month's photos - March 2009

Not much to report now in March!
I'm still getting messy when I eat...which is lots of fun!

And I'm perfecting my skills on how to stand holding on things and cruising around!

Friends visiting - February 2009

I'm really happy we had friends visiting this month!
Our first friend to visit was uncle Nick, auntie Sabrina's other half, who came to Singapore for work but we managed to meet him one evening. I took a good look at him and I can tell he's a REALLY nice guy!!
